It looks like Samsung is definite on releasing another Note gadget this year even after the disaster caused by the Galaxy Note 7 last year. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note is believed to come out in the second half of 2017.

Galaxy Note 8 still releasing this year

Reports noted that Samsung will still continue with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 after investigating the battery problems and explosions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It seems that the Korean company is trying to recover its identity in the phablet industry which was smeared with their last release.

Samsung ordered a worldwide recall of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units after the safety of the users and the public were placed at risk with the number of exploding handsets. It has also rendered the remaining unreturned units as unusable to avoid any more explosion and overheating incidents.

Improvements and specs

To be able to introduce a well-developed and improved phablet, Samsung is expected to add a long-lasting battery that does not suddenly explodes when it heats up. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is said to have the same 3500mAh capacity as the Note 7 or higher.

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could have a combination of a metal and glass exterior. Many also hope to see a bigger screen with minimum bezels for better mobile experience. With this adjustment, there is a possibility that the physical home button will also be removed.

Screen design and display

Samsung's next phablet release is also thought to sport with a dual-edge curved screen just like the Edge releases of the Samsung. This screen design could add to the functionalities offered by the Samsung Galaxy Note line.

Since some brands have already started offering dual-camera setups, it is also possible that Samsung could do the same with the Galaxy Note 8. The device may also have a Qualcomm chipset for faster apps paired with 6GB of RAM.
