Ceage SottoBandai Namco's "Tales" series has captivated many RPG fans through the game's unique narratives. The company behind the "Tales Of Zestiria" and the classic "Tales Of Destiny" game is releasing a new game called "Tales of Berseria." The game will be globally released on January 27, while North American gamers can get a copy on January 24. The company has also recently sent out a demo for the PS4 and PC for their loyal fans.
The "Tales Of Berseria" demo will give fans a taste of what the JRPG franchise is all about. For the curious gamers who want to try it out, here are the links for each of the game's different platforms: PS4 and PC.
PC gamers won't need to worry about the system requirements. Just like 2015's "Tales of Zestiria," the game does not need a hardcore gaming rig to run on smooth framerates. The minimum requirements for the game are a Core 2 Duo E8400 or Phenom II X2 550 CPU with 2 GB of RAM. A GeForce 9800 GTX or Radeon HD 4850 GPU and 15GB of available storage.
The gameplay for "Tales Of Berseria" is similar to the previous"Tales" games. wherein gamers will embark on a journey to save the world. Not only that, it also shares the same world as the "Tales of Zestiria," but the events occur at the former's distant past. However, according to Bandai Namco, although the story is a prequel to "Tales of Zestiria," the game also holds its own unique narrative.
The events take place in a land called Holy Midgand Empire. The lands and islands are divided into different "territories." The game has a ton of characters that includes Velvet Crowe, Laphicet, Rokurou Rangetsu, Eleanor Hume and others to save Midgand from the Daemonblight.
Players will embark on a journey of self-discovery as they assume the role of the game's protagonist, Velvet -- a young woman whose once kind demeanor was changed after a traumatic experience three years prior to the events within "Tales of Berseria." She will be joining a crew of pirates to sail across the sea to the islands of the Holy Midgand Empire. The ending of the game is direct a reference to the beginning of the "Tales of Zestiria" story.
The game does not have the popularity of Square Enix's "Final Fantasy" series, but the franchise also holds its own ground. Curious individuals can check out the game demo with the links given above.
