Xbox In Trouble? After 'Scalebound' Cancellation, Xbox Scorpio Launch Still Uncertain
JPThere seem to be a few problems under the Microsoft Xbox's roof that the company is keeping under the wrap. After the surprising announcement of the cancellation of the Xbox One exclusive video game, "Scalebound", company head, Phil Spencer has just revealed that the video game community may not see the new Xbox Scorpio before the June Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event.
The video game community has long been anticipating the official release of the overly hyped new powerful game console from Microsoft, the Xbox Scorpio. However, in a twitter post that may dull the mood of a number of avid video game fans, Xbox's Spencer has just announced that the company is still uncertain if Xbox Scorpio will finally be officially unveiled before the E3 event in June. In the same twitter post, Spencer also acknowledged the fact hat the company knows that fans want the Xbox Scorpio to be unveiled sooner than later.
However, this does not mean that all hopes are lost for the video community as Spencer has also expressed his optimism with the current progress of the development of the Xbox Scorpio. When asked about the current status of the Project Scorpio, Spencer quipped that he is absolutely happy with the current progress of the project so far and that they are actually having excellent progress across studios, platforms and hardware.
Also, it can be remembered that this is not the first time that Spencer had to address some recent rumblings about the Xbox. Just recently, several speculations and rumors have swirled about the cancellation of Xbox One exclusive, "Scalebound". In his official statement, Spencer simply said that it was a difficult decision but he believes that it is a better choice for Xbox gamers.
There are still no further information as to the price and official release date of the Xbox Scorpio. Fans may just have to wait until June to have their first glimpse of the new game console.
