Disappointed Apple iPhone 7 users who expected way more than the device offered when released are now looking eagerly into the future and waiting for the Apple iPhone 8. Fan expectations are soaring at the moment regarding the device as 2017 is the 10th anniversary of the smartphone that changed the mobile industry for good. Innumerable reports are available on the Internet, all anticipating the features that will be present in the Apple iPhone 8.

A recent DigiTimes report had leaked possible information on the Apple iPhone 8 as the Taipei-based website sources information from iPhone component suppliers. The report states that the upcoming iPhone will use a glass-encased design. Earlier reports had likewise suggested that the iPhone 8 will have an all-glass body with a steel frame. It will also have an edge-to-edge curved OLED Display. The OLED Display was a hit in the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge handsets.

"There was a fair amount of public grousing when the iPhone 7 failed to introduce any exciting new features. A really beautiful new finish would be good. Voice control at the level of [Amazon's] Alexa would be nice. The best and broadest video service in the world could help," president of Endpoint Technologies Associates, Roger Kay, told Fox News in an email.

In the past years, Apple's major upgrades to the flagship Apple iPhone included introduction of the Gold and Rose Gold variants and larger displays. Apple's competition has sure surpassed the iPhone in various other fronts including curved screens, OLED displays and materials used among others. The rest of the world has caught up adding newer and more fantastic features. Tech enthusiasts and experts have all agreed on the point that the Apple iPhone 8 needs a major redesign.

Then there's Augmented Reality (AR) that Apple somehow prefers more than Virtual Reality (VR). The AR market is still at a very nascent stage and has all the potential to secure Apple's future if the company is able to develop the technology to the fullest. In recent years, Apple has been on an acquiring spree and every fan expects to see these acquisitions come to fruition in the Apple iPhone 8.
