OPPO Find 9 Leak Reveals Borderless Screen; 2017 Launch Confirmed
Athena DeeThe Internet has been abuzz with reports that the OPPO Find 9 will be coming to the market in the first half of 2017. According to multiple news sources, the smartphone will be out by March this year.
An image of the OPPO Find 9 was reportedly leaked to the Internet and it only added fuel to the fire. Based on the photo, which can be seen on GSM Arena, the OPPO Find 9 will have a borderless screen display. Once confirmed, this new technology will be a milestone for OPPO's Find series.
However, a Chinese tech analyst, Pan Jiutang, refuted OPPO Find 9 claims late last year, as reported by Mobipicker. Jiutang has been a trusted source of information with regard to mobile devices, and he was the first to confirm that the OPPO Find 9 release date will not be in March 2017. According to him, the wait for the aforementioned smartphone will be much longer than initially expected.
A Chinese publication, MyDrivers, also confirmed that previous OPPO Find 9 release date reports are nothing but rumors. Consumers who have been looking forward to the device can get their hands on either the Vivo Xplay 6 or the OnePlus 3T instead.
Now, sources are singing a different tune. A new report from Gizmo China argues that the OPPO Find 9 will, indeed, be out within the first half of 2017. Just when consumers were no longer on their toes, news about the OPPO Find 9's development break out. According to the report, a company executive was the one who divulged the OPPO Find 9's release date.
Since the OPPO Find 7 was unveiled in 2014, consumers have been wanting to see yet another OPPO flagship. The company has been quite active in launching mid-range smartphones, but nothing that was commended to be flagship-worthy.
The OPPO Find 9 is expected to come out of its box with a 5.5-inc dual edge AMOLED screen with QHD resolution. It will reportedly have a Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. It will veer off from Color OS and will reportedly be pre-loaded with an all-new AI system, Find OS.
