‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Episodes Trimmed To Nine; Here Is Why
Caitlin Moore"Prison Break" Season 5 is less than three months away and fans are now getting more excited to see the show following the release of a new trailer. The forthcoming season, however, will only have nine episodes in it. Fans need not worry though because there is a good explanation to why the episodes were trimmed and this season promises a "very tight closed-ended story."
In a report from TV Line, "PB" Executive Producer Paul T. Scheuring revealed that Season 5 should have had 10 new episodes. However, the team had to cut it to nine to accommodate the schedules of lead actors Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell and other casts such as Sarah Wayne Callies. That said, even if fans will not see their beloved characters after the conclusion of "Prison Break" Season 5, they could still watch them in their respective shows.
For the uninitiated, Callies is currently engaged on the show "Colony" by USA Network. Miller and Purcell both appear on "Legends of Tomorrow," a DC superhero series. The duo also made an appearance on "The Flash" but it remains to be seen whether they would do some episodes again for the show in the future.
As for "Prison Break's" plot, fans are in for some thrilling treats because Scheuring teased that the storyline is packed with exciting scenes. "There's no time for bullshit. This is a very tight close-ended story," the executive producer said. "It's constant thriller, cliffhanger, revelation. It's very dense," Scheuring continued.
Meanwhile, an earlier report by Mobile&Apps revealed that new characters will be introduced in the revival. This is another interesting part to be excited for. Also, Fox TV already revealed the exact air date of the series so all fans need to do now is wait until it airs.
"Prison Break" Season 5 air date is set on April 4. In the meantime, check out the newly released trailer below. Also, you can drop us a comment to let us know how excited you are in seeing the revival of the hit serial TV drama.
