Tesla Model 3 Is Simply A Part Of A Master Plan; Move From Hydrocarbon Economy To Solar Electric Economy Explained
Ritwik RoyThe Tesla Model 3 is one of the most-anticipated electric vehicles of 2017 and the hype it has generated along with the demand it has received is simply extraordinary. However, people may not be aware of the grand plan that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has and how he wants to achieve it via Model 3 and other Tesla EVs. The master plan is to move from a hydrocarbon economy to a solar electric economy. Centralized electricity perpetuates reliance on fossil fuels. Greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels have reached a catastrophic stage.
Climate change has impacted both natural and human systems and the Tesla Model 3 has the capacity to become relatively energy independent to a whole new segment of society, writes Teslarati. A Model 3 user will reduce carbon emission and contribute to a greener climate and economy. Tesla-owned solar service provider, SolarCity, will produce modestly sized and priced solar panels. Model 3 can use these panels to draw decentralized energy. Tesla will initiate the first deliveries and installations of the Powerwall 2 being produced at the Gigafactory.
This will be used to fire-up Tesla Model 3. The EV will cater to a more niche market that will allow owners to use solar roof tiles to turn sunlight into electricity. Powerwall 2 will store the electricity and power-up Model 3. All this is pretty heavy stuff and if implemented properly, can change the average US consumer considers transportation and electricity generation alternative. The $35,000 sedan will have an upscale audience at the very beginning and not the mass public.
The Tesla Model 3 can go zero to 60mph in under six seconds and can run a minimum of 215 miles per single charge. Its Autopilot hardware is constantly getting upgraded and it is supercharging-enabled. Stay tuned on Mobile & Apps for more updates on the Tesla Model 3.
