Caitlin MooreFox is reportedly working on a new "X-Men" TV show and the series is expected to explore the world of mutants from a different perspective. Unlike the movies that are centered on mutants and how they live their lives, the planned "X-Men" TV show will take place in an outside world. It's an "X-Men" series that will also tell a more intimate storyline surrounding mutants.
A report by CNET detailed an interview with series creator Matt Nix where it was revealed that the new TV show will deviate from the usual "X-Men" releases. The new series is said to explore on other aspects of the world outside the mutants. Does this mean that there will be no "X-Men" characters in it?
Nix confirmed that there will be exciting "X-Men" characters who will make an appearance on the show. However, what he cannot tell is who among the fan-favorite "X-Men" are set to cast in it. Fans will just need to wait for more spoilers in the coming months as the new series progresses.
Meanwhile, another TV series based on the "X-Men" franchise is set to premiere on Feb. 8. Called "Legion," the new TV drama also took a different approach in telling the story of mutants. As per Marvel Television Division Head Jeph Loeb, it is something that Marvel has not done in the past.
"Legion" has a unique narrative that tells the story of David Haller, a mutant known to have Schizophrenia, and has spent time in a mental institute. He is expected to meet another patient Lenny who was kept in the institute because of her drug and alcohol addiction, The Hollywood Reporter reported. The story will then progress as David meets more characters who could help him discover who he really is.
