Niantic just started rolling out its new "Pokémon GO" versions for both Android and iOS platforms. Trainers are encouraged to update their game app to the latest edition to enjoy playing the game to its full potential.

The "Pokemon GO" update for Android carry the number 0.55.0 while it is 1.25.0 for iOS. The modification is minor and do not really bring game-changing features but it effectively cut down the time for Android phones to load up the game.

Trainers who use Android devices have been complaining of lag and very slow loading of the game. Fortunately, Niantic already fixed this through the new version of the game app.

Likewise, on a post on its web page, the Pokemon GO team stated, "The game is in the process of being updated to version 0.55.0 for Android and 1.25.0 for iOS devices." The team went on to enumerate what the update will offer once installed.

Aside from the reduced loading times, the next thing that Niantic was able to fix through the app update is the Android connectivity issue with the "Pokemon GO" Plus accessory. Trainers reported that they cannot link their Android phone to the accessory and the update helped addressed this glitch.

In addition, the 1.25.0 update will bring the iOS wheelchair support for use with Apple Watch. Lastly, the new game versions are expected to fix errors regarding the text.

Then again, although these are all that Niantic has enumerated for the fixes that the 0.55.0 for Android and 1.25.0 for iOS will do, it is interesting that Silph Road was able to discover additional improvements brought about by the recent update.

On the Silph Road forums, trainer mhetralla wrote that with the 0.55.0 update, the music no longer pauses when the game is launched. He/she added that instead of a pause, the music's volume is only reduced and this also works with game sounds.

In a related news, Niantic recently rolled out support for Korean language in the "Pokemon GO" game. The support officially arrived on Jan. 17 and the app update mentioned above was the next to be released.
