'Pokemon Go' 0.55.0 Patch Update Now Allows Players To Listen To Music & Podcasts
Ceage SottoNiantic is making waves with a new feature that was not available in previous versions of "Pokemon GO." The game now allows players to listen to their own tunes while playing the hit AR game. Niantic may have sneaked in the new feature without any prior announcement. The release of the new 0.55.0 Android patch might have been an added bonus for most players.
Older versions of the game would stop any form of media from playing when players are starting the game. This time, "Pokemon GO" enthusiast will be able to listen to their own set of tracks to amplify the whole Pokemon experience.
The first players that were able to enjoy the feature were iOS users. So far the new feature is well accepted by many "Pokemon GO" fans. According to Phone Arena, the problem did not necessarily originate with Niantic Labs.
There was a bug that was responsible for canceling tunes from playing when the Pokemon app is on. The culprit appears to be in the Unity 3D game engine. Unity technology released a fix a few weeks ago, However, Niantic took time before the fix can be incorporated into the 0.55.0 Android patch.
Catching Pokemon will be a joy with the new update. Before going in a quest to become the best trainer in the world, Niantic's latest patch lowers the volume of music tracks to ensure safety standards.
Players must be aware that "Pokemon GO" would significantly lower the volume of the track. It is recommended to set a safe and audible sound level to prevent accidents from happening.
Amplifying the sound too much to compensate for the lowered audio might be a bad idea. Once players close "Pokemon GO," the volume will go up to normal levels. The change sudden burst of sound could possibly cause damage to the eardrums.
