Samsung will reportedly use bigger batteries for their upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8. To be more exact, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus are expected to have 3,250 mAh and 3,750 mAh batteries, respectively.

The new batteries for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus is part of the South Korean tech giant's new approach to ensure users' safety, and for the device's better and long-lasting performance. The bigger 3,250 mAh and 3,750 mAh batteries were first reported on the ITcle website that noted that the sizes are notably bigger than the 3,000 mAh to 3,500 mAh capacity of the Galaxy S7 series.

Last year, the company suffered from some tragic incidents with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 because of its faulty battery. According to a BGR report, making bigger batteries for thinner smartphones is one of the possible reasons behind the reported explosions. While the Galaxy S8 is expected to have bigger batteries, Samsung is looking for a way to make it safer.

With all these rumors and speculations, the final features of the Samsung Galaxy S8 have yet to be revealed until this March. However, one thing is for sure, Samsung now puts a premium on their costumers' safety.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be sold for $850 and $960, respectively. Both smartphones are set to launch on April 2017.
