5 Top Smartphones Coming In February 2017: Nokia 8, LG G6, Huawei P10, Blackberry Mercury, Lenovo Moto G5
CJ EstimadaFebruary is here and the techies are now on their toes as the Mobile World Congress is inching closer. To be held at Barcelona, the annual event sees some of the most exciting smartphones debuting in their full glory. Among these are the, LG's G6, Nokia 8 and the Huawei P10. Blackberry Mercury is expected to be officially unveiled on 25 February.
Android Phones Ready To Be Showcased
In January, LG announced the development of world's first QHD+ LCD screen for smartphones. It is believed that LG will incorporate it in the upcoming G6 series flagship mobile. The company hints that the G6 will have a wide screen, water-proof body, long lasting battery and a really good camera with wide angle field of view.
Also expected to be announced at MWC 2017 is Huawei P10. As per latest reports, it is said to boast an all-metal body with a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display. The inside is packed with a HiSilicon Kirin 960 CPU, which can clock a speed of close to 2.3GHz. Like the P9 series, P10 is also expected to house a dualcamera. It will have a second generation 12MP snapper, co-engineered by world renowned camera pioneer Leica, writes IBT.
BlackBerry's OEM partner TCL has also teased new smartphone DTEK70, code-named Mercury. BlackBerry Mercury is expected to sport its trademark QWERTY physical keypad with fingerprint sensor and Android Nougat out of the box. It is expected to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 CPU, 3GB RAM, 18MP rear camera and an 8MP front snapper.
Flagship Smartphones With 2 Variants
Lenovo's Moto G5 will be initially launched with two variants -- the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. Both the generic Moto G5 and the high-end Moto G5 Plus have virtually the same hardware, except in two key parts. The Moto G5 is said to come with a 5.0-inch full HD screen with 3,000mAh cell, whereas the Moto G5 Plus will have a bigger 5.5-inch full HD display and a 3,100mAh battery.
Furthermore, having launched mid-range Nokia 6 in China, HMD Global Oy, the official licensee of Nokia, is expected to unleash the flagship Nokia 8 this month in Barcelona. As reported by India Today, Nokia 8 will have two variants. One with Snapdragon 830 + 6GB RAM + 64/128GB storage (microSD card) + 24 MP OIS + EIS primary camera+ 12 MP front-shoot and the other with Snapdragon 821 quad-core+4GB RAM. Both boasts Carl Zeiss-branded cameras.
