'Super Mario Run' Latest News: Golden Goomba Event Begins; New Update Brings 'Easy Mode' And More
Louise Bonquin"Super Mario Run" is not getting any more DLCs and this was confirmed by Nintendo. However, this does not mean that the electronics and software company will not be working anymore to keep the game exciting. In fact, a new event was just launched and it is called the "Mega Event."
"Super Mario Run" players can join the activity and they are bound to earn 30 gold coins every time they take down a Gold Goomba. This event was announced via Nintendo America's official Twitter account.
"Golden Goombas are appearing now in #SuperMarioRun! Defeat as many as possible to get special buildings. Event ends on 2/19," Nintendo tweeted on Feb. 3.
Throughout the "Super Mario Run" event, golden Goombas will come out at some points in the World Tour mode and players must grab them to earn bonus coins. The event will also hand out stamp cards and if the player totally defeated a Gold Goomba, the card will get one stamp.
Everyone who succeeds in completing and filling out all the stamp slots will get a special building for the Kingdom Builder mode. Now, it should be noted that not all game levels will have Gold Goomba.
Gamers will be able to identify which one has the Gold Goomba because it will be marked with an icon. Moreover, the "Super Mario Run" will also get an "Easy Mode" where players can take advantage of unlimited bubbles, plus there is no time limit for the runs.
According to Nintendo Wire, each stamp card will have 20 spaces that needed to be filled out. More prizes await those who will be able to fill out multiple stamp cards. Check out the items to be won below:
One stamp card is equivalent to one Gold Goomba Statue, two cards will give 2 statues, three cards will give 3 Gold Goomba Statue and lastly, four cards will yield a prize of one big Gold Goomba Statue.
Finally, the "Super Mario Run" Mega Event will run for 15 days more from now, so players must complete their stamp cards to redeem prizes before then.
