Yalu iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Update: Latest Jailbreak Tool Now Supports iPhone 6, SE And iPad Air [Tutorial Video]
Pia MerciLuca Todesco has just made his latest Yalu102 also known as Yalu iOS 10.2 jailbreak tool now available for download, according to latest reports. The latest beta 6 is apparently quite stable and offer support for other iOS devices.
The Yalu10.2 jailbreak tool is now capable of supporting 64-bit systems such as the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, SE and iPad air. Before this said announcement, the patch only worked for iPhone 6s, 6s Plus.and iPad Pro.But the Italian hacker managed to extend its jailbreak's support in just a matter of few weeks.
However, the said jailbreak tool still doesn't support the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus as well as the iPad Air 2 making its owners wait until Todesco gets his hands on the said units. A Cydia impactor file, which is in a form of an IPA is said to be included in the new tool. The file can be downloaded for free from Todesco's Yalu download site.
Todesco did his best to make the patch as stable as possible and the mix tape was the only thing lacking from it. Moreover, he indirectly mentioned that current iPhone and iPad models' support will be coming and released soon, as per the Italian hacker's tweet.
Until now, Todesco is the only one who has really managed to release a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2. Note that he was the same person who managed to crack the current iOS 10 open, even though it was just days after being released. Additionally, as for this version of the tool, he was able to work on the vulnerabilities that were eventually exposed by another known iOS jailbreaker, Ian Beer.
In September 2016, Todesco released a video of him via Twitter, managing to exploit an iOS 10 vulnerability. It was still uncertain that time whether he will release a public jailbreak tool or not. Many have thought of him planning to use Apple's big bounty program for his discoveries.
Meanwhile, owners who wish to download Yalu 10.2 beta 6 should note that it is a semi-jailbreak tool, wherein just like the others before it, that needs to be re-applied if they happen to reboot or restart their iOS devices.
