Rising Star Games Announces Nintendo 3DS Game 'Cooking Mama' For North America, South America & Europe

Switchy Sam

The famous cooking simulation game from Rising Star Games entitled "Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop" will be coming this year. The game will be released both in digital and physical formats. This means that players can either buy the game in stores or buy it through Nintendo eShop. The game will feature numerous mini-games. The official announcement can be found on Rising Star Games' official website on Facebook and Twitter. Players in North America and Europe will now be comfortable playing the game with the new English interface and voices. Though, some prefer the Japanese voice with English subtitles instead.

Competitive multiplayer mode, shop, and mini-games

"Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop" on the Nintendo 3DS will feature a vast array of mini-games. There are 60 different recipes to create by taking part in over 160 different mini-games, reported Gematsu. Through these mini-games, players can make a variety of dishes that can be sold in their own shop. Of course, money is important to buy ingredients and other upgrades in the game. Buying these upgrades will help players progress further. Players can use the Nintendo 3DS stylus and even the microphone to cool, slice, stir, bake and decorate their creations. Recently, most Nintendo 3DS games do not use the microphone efficiently.

Multiplayer mode

The sweets that the players create in "Cooking Mama: Sweet Shop" will be displayed in their shop to earn money. The more money the players create, the more their shop expands. The game also features multiplayer mode. Players can compete with each other and compare points gained in dessert making in this mode. The game will be released in April but no specific date has been announced yet, IGN reports. You can watch the trailer from Rising Star Games below.
