"Pokemon Go" has been one of the breakthrough apps in 2016, but it looks like certain changes will be enforced in the popular game soon. A recent update shows that the game may introduce Gen 2 Pokemon soon in order to continue making the game interesting for players. Plus, find out this new rule may affect certain Android and iOS users.

Latest "Pokemon Go" updates reveal that the Generation 2 Pokemon may be introduced in the game in the form of an update sooner rather than later. According to Forbes, there have been hints about the release of Gen 2 Pokemon in the game through a patch.

While Niantic has yet to confirm the introduction of Gen 2 in "Pokemon Go," the publication notes on the update's release date. According to the outlet, it is possible that Niantic will drop this update during the first day of spring, which is on March 21.

It is possible that the "Pokemon Go" update bearing the Gen 2 Pokemon will be released without any major announcements given Niantic's history with releasing the game and other major updates. The introduction of Gen 2 would allow the game to keep its players enticed with the game.

This may also help keep players from leaving "Pokemon Go" altogether, as a new ordinance will most likely affect certain Android and iOS users. According to Express, an ordinance in Milwaukee County Parks has imposed restrictions on "virtual and located-based augmented reality games."

"Pokemon Go" falls under this category, which means that Niantic may need to secure a permit to allow users from the said area to continue playing the game. While this only affects a certain number of users, the publication notes on the possibility that other areas may follow suit given the health and safety issues that come with playing the game.
