'Persona 5' News: Atlus Reveals Expansion Plans; Dance and Fighting Game As Options For Next Title [VIDEO]
Pia MerciAtlus, a Tokyo-based video game developer, has a lot of plans for "Persona 5". However, this time around, the game studio wants their fans to help them in figuring out what should be next for the game.
One of the questions that the Tokyo-based company asked is which title they would prefer. Although there were reportedly many interesting options, a full-on "Persona 5" sequel was more captivating.
More so, some of the options included a "Persona 5" version expected with additional scenarios and new elements. It is said to be a fighting game iteration and a dance game with sound action.
Apparently, an idea of a "Persona 5" fighting game being dubbed as "Persona 5 Arena" was originally discussed by Kazuhisa Wada, the director of "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax" game, during the Arc Revolution Cup last October 15, 2016.
According to Persona Central, he said that they have just finished putting all of their efforts and resources into the game itself. When it regards to the game's title, he said that it is something that they have to discuss further.
Moreover, he added that "Persona 5 Arena" will definitely happen. He mentioned that it would be much appreciated that fans, if not everyone, would speak out and send their requests especially regarding the upcoming title.
Obviously, the next move of Atlus in terms of "Person 5" would seemingly depend on their fans' preferences and the result of their online survey, eventually. Meanwhile, the other choices included a high-definition console remake of one of the first three "Persona" titles, an online game, a board game or a shooting game. It is based on the "Persona" series and a continuation of "Persona Q" and said to be a remake to other platforms.
Additionally, Atlus also asked its fans which platforms they would prefer playing the upcoming title. PS Vita, PlayStation 4, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR and Nintendo 3DS were the given options.
"Persona 5" was released for the PS3 and PS4 in Japan on September 15, 2016. It will release in North America and Europe on February 14, 2017 and in traditional Chinese and Korean in 2017.
