Nintendo Switch News & Games: Online Gaming Membership Fee & Pre Order Info, 'For Honor' Nintendo Game A Possibility!
Catherine G.Nintendo Switch console has created a massive buzz in the gaming industry. The related Nintendo Switch games are being announced continuously by different game developing companies. The Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3. There are hints of other big projects in this segment and news suggest that Nintendo Switch can easily transfer some games into the console.
As it is running on a customised NVIDIA chip, game developers can easily port over the games which have been made on a PC base. This process, also used by several Xbox One and PS4 games, can take almost a year. There have been suggestions that third party ports can start from this autumn itself. "For Honor" is being launched by Ubisoft on platforms like PS4, PC, and Xbox One. If the game does well, it could be developed for Nintendo Switch, too. Jason VandenBerghe, the "For Honor" director stated the probability of Ubisoft working on the Nintendo version depending on the game's performance after being launched on February 14.
"It's not something that we're focused on. We've been in development on For Honor for a long time and the question of 'Will this game work?' is the big thing," he told Trusted Reviews. Other games include "Little Inferno", "World of Goo", "1-2", "Legend of Zelda", "Binding of Isaac", and "Just Dance 2017".
Apart from the console price, Nintendo Switch gamers will need to pay $17-26 per year to play games online on multiplayer mode with their friend. This subscription price is subject to change if the company policies change the fee according to regions. The online multiplayer membership may first be released on trial in March itself, after which most games will require the gamers to cough up some money in order to play online. In the buzz and excitement surrounding the console, it is a possibility that Nintendo Switch may face pre order shortages in different regions. However, Nintendo President Tatsumi Kimishima is trying his best to not let that happen.
"We are continuously producing in earnest, and there are no changes to our plans to ship two million hardware units worldwide by the end of March 2017," he recently told investors. "Pre-order sales have also begun across the globe. We have heard that many retailers have already closed pre-orders and have allocated remaining inventory for sale on launch day."
