The real battle phase in Nioh begins when the player visits a small fishing village on the shores of Japan that is under the attack of a supernatural presence.  Onryoki is huge and takes down the player in just two or three hits. Dodge From The Iron Balls; Maintain Safe Distance

Firstly players need to take down the chains linked to the iron balls in Onryoki's hands. The chains with iron balls blow powerful attack on the players and the only way to escape it is by dodging to the opposite direction to the attack. If the attack came from both the directions simultaneously, then the player has to dodge left and right so that Onryoki gets back to attacking from one direction, as reported by Gamerant.

How To Counter The Spinning Attack?

Whenever the player gets too close to Onryoki he will have to face the spinning attack. Players need to dodge back from the attack at the right time. The important clue about the spinning attack is that only when the player goes behind Onryoki or when Onryoki misses an iron ball attack, there will be a spinning attack. Hence, if players can observe these instances carefully, they can easily dodge the attack. Also, whenever the player finds a chance to damage Onryoki's health, they should take it and then retract back to a safe distance to escape Onryoki's counter attacks, as reported by Shacknews.

The Second Phase Of The Attack

When Onryoki's health goes down by a quarter, the chains will get cut off and he may try to grab and slam. Hence, players should always keep the safe distance while battling him. Also, he may make a short distance slam to damage the ground; the player should quickly dodge and use Onryoki's vulnerability to their advantage before he recovers. The battle will take time and players have to patiently keep depleting Onryoki's health at the same time saving their Ki. After a while, Onryoki will fall out of health and can be defeated easily.
