Rommel"Orange is the New Black," one of Netflix's groundbreaking series, will be returning for its fifth season and the ladies of Litchfield are locked, loaded and ready to spice things up this coming June.
"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 Release Date was revealed just last Wednesday by Netflix and it will be available on Friday, June 9th. The said reveal was announced after a 15-second trailer video was released for the promotion of the show. Aside from the fifth season, fans can still expect more from the show as it was announced last year that it will run long, getting renewal nods for sixth and seventh season.
In the finale of "Orange is the New Black" last season, it can be recalled that the show ended with a huge cliffhanger that really left people at the edge of their seats and wanting for more. Taystee and her inmate friends joined the riots together in the halls after Caputo had announced in a live press conference that Poussey's death was an accident. Psychotic officer Humphrey stopped them eventually by pulling out an unauthorized gun. Of course, the officer did not intend to use it. But at the final scene of Season 4, it was immediately knocked out of his hands. Daya picked it up and pointed it at the officer's head.
