"Orange is the New Black" cast Laverne Cox who portrays the character of a trans woman named Sophia Burset some interesting scoops about Season 5 of the hit comedy-drama TV show. Though the actress cannot explore much on the plot of "Orange is the New Black" Season 5, she teased that the storyline will only cover a three-day period in the lives of the inmates and the main characters of the show.

Thirteen "Orange is the New Black" episodes will deal with the happenings in a three-day period according to Cox. That's a lot to happen in a short period of time given the number of episodes it requires to tell the story. However, what's interesting to know is how will the show pick up from a major cliffhanger that the previous season left.

For the uninitiated, the finale of "OITNB" Season 4 ended with Dayanara Diaz (Dascha Polanco) pointing a gun on Thomas Humphrey's (Michael Torpey) forehead. Pressured by the cheer of her other inmates, will Daya shoot the Corrections Officer? However, when People asked Cox was about what she can tell about the "Orange is the New Black" plot, she just said it's amazing and juicy.

The actress is also excited to see what happens next following the riot in the prison cell where Daya currently holds Humphrey's life on her hands. But of course, she cannot spill the details for fans. However, she told Variety that she thinks that the spoilers surfacing over the internet are wrong and she feels good to know what happened while everyone is anxious about it.

"Orange Is the New Black" Season 5 air date is set on June 9. In the meantime, check out a teaser clip of the new season below. Also, let us know whether you think Daya will pull the trigger to kill Humphreys in the upcoming "Orange is the New Black" episodes.
