'Call Of Duty 2017' Will Be On The Ground And Not In Space, London A Possibility?
Hemal VoraAfter the not-so-great performance of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," Activision, in its latest earnings release, said that the game's 2017 iteration would be taken "back to its roots."
The Future War GamePlay In 'Call Of Duty 2017'
Infinity Ward has made a lot of innovative changes to the World War game by taking it from a typical World War II setting to a War in the future, by introducing advanced weaponry, drones and more. "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is a great leap for the game in terms of innovation as well as the location, which was set in the space. While a number of players were excited about the gameplay innovations added in the game title, the concept of space setting did not resonate to a great extent, as reported by Gamerant.
Infinite Warfare Settings Was Not A Big Win
According to the latest reports, the COO of Activision, Thomas Tippl has said that the 2016 title, was not welcomed by some audience and hence, traditional warfare setting will one again be included in the "Call of Duty 2017". He also said that both Activision and Sledgehammer Games are looking forward to the year's 'back to the roots' approach, as reported by IGN.
'Call Of Duty 2017'- Back To Basics
According to GameRant, Sledgehammer Games' Michael Gondrey responded on Twitter to a fan that this year's "Call of Duty" will be "on the ground." The CEO of Activision, Eric Hirshberg also echoed the same thought by saying that Infinite Warfare settings did not appeal many fans and that they have been working for almost two years on the 2017 title which will not only have a setting that fans like but also include the latest gameplay innovations as well.
However, there are not many updates on the plot planned for "Call of Duty 2017." Activision will be revealing the new title like always in the month of April or May.
