‘Rayman Legends’ Nintendo Switch Version Has 'Several Surprises,' Teases Creator Michel Ancel
CJ Estimada"Rayman Legends" is one of three games that Ubisoft has announced for the Switch in the form of a Definitive Edition. The other two are "Just Dance 2017," which is a launch title for the Switch, and the open-world extreme sports game "Steep."
The Nintendo Switch Version Surprises
"The Nintendo Switch is a modern, powerful and social-oriented, cooperative console, so we are preparing several surprises for this version. There is a special game in 'Rayman Legends' like 'Kung Foot,' as well as some new additions," says its creator Michel Ancel.
He further said that it's like a love story between Nintendo and "Rayman" because of its colorful universe which is exactly in the Nintendo Switch spirit. And that they are preparing other surprises because the console has a lot of qualities in the multiplayer area, reports WWG.
He did not go into the full specifics of the surprises, or if any other enhancements will be made to that version. The publisher did say, however, it'll make use of the console's unique controllers. It's a perfect console to play with friends in the same room like a board game. The celebrated creator thinks "Rayman Legends" is a good fit for the platformer, shares GameSpot.
Critically Acclaimed "Rayman Legends"
"Rayman Legends" earned critical acclaim upon release back in 2013. Some critics went as far as calling "Rayman Legends" one of the finest platforming video games ever made, and the game won several awards from video gaming publications. Many critics commended the game's visuals, controls, level design, soundtrack, overall gameplay and the large amount of content.
Ubisoft said it has more games in development and promised to share more later this year. The official release dates for the Switch version of "Rayman Legends" Definitive Edition and "Steep" have yet to be announced. For now, we will keep everyone posted for updates.
