‘Injustice 2’ Adds Cheetah, Catwoman & Poison Ivy After Adding Black Canary & Swamp Thing

After announcing Black Canary, Damian Wayne as Robin and The Swamp Thing, a short video played up three more femme fatales from the DC Universe. Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Cheetah make up the lineup for "Injustice 2" "Here Come the Girls." NetherRealm's DC fighter roster is now 21-strong.
The Girl Power Roster
In a new gameplay trailer shared by Gematsu, the three new female fighters are featured and offers another look at Black Canary. Other than Poison Ivy's beguiling super move and a little glimpse at a couple of stages, the clip doesn't show any of the other new characters' play. It shares only a peep at the moves and combos each of these ravishing rogues are able of pulling off.
So far, only Black Canary of the four women featured in the trailer got her own personal video for "Injustice 2." Nonetheless, followers can anticipate Cheetah, Catwoman and Poison Ivy will get their own as well, sooner or later.
Upgraded Look Of The Femme Fatales
The characters' all-new designs were clearly shown in the "Here Come The Girls" trailer, though. Thankfully, Cheetah is not in the almost naked bare minimum clothing requirement in a Tarzan-inspired vibe. Poison Ivy adheres to her green bodice, while Catwoman gets a fine upgrade from a traditional black catsuit. Hopefully, this isn't all the women as "Injustice 2" has yet to recognize characters like Huntress or Renee Montoya, reports Comics Alliance.
"Injustice 2" is the sequel to the popular fighting game "Injustice: Gods Among Us." "Injustice 2" retains numerous gameplay mechanics from "Gods Among Us." This new feature now allows players to modify fighters with a loot-dropping system, the new Gear System. According to NetherRealm Studios, the Gear System uses RPG-like mechanics to reward players with loot after every match.
"Injustice 2" launches for Xbox One and PS4 on May 16. The fighting game will be featured as part of the main tournament at this year's Evo championship series. Keep posted for more in-depth news and updates.
