‘Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy’ Launches June 30: A Remake Or Remaster? Improved Features, Graphics, Sounds & More [Update]
CJ EstimadaAfter teasing fans with a release date, the remastered "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" collection is now officially set to launch June 30 as announced by Activision. It turns out some fans' speculations had been accurate after all. A lot of buzz went on when the developer announced a release date predicting it to be June 30..
"Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" Improved Features
According to the Playstation Blog, in an interview with the Activision team, the game features improved game levels bonuses, rebuilt intro cinematic, updated graphics and sound and time trials. Vicarious Visions is hard at work in handling the remastering of the trilogy, like the animations, the new lighting, cinematic boosts for 4K and the PS4 Pro. The "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" is also packed with an entirely remastered soundtrack, a full analog stick support, new unified save and checkpoint systems and a unified menu system.
Elements Of The Original Fused With The New Tech
The Activison team strived hard to incorporate the fun, colorful and fast-paced action of the new technology, at the same time recreate the original look and feel of the game. The addition of real-time lighting in a PBR (Physically Based Rendering) engine, with an increase in texture size, comes in as a challenge.
"This is a AAA remaster. We're giving "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy" the love and attention to detail that we pay to all of our AAA games. We're building it using the original level geometry so that it plays as close to the original as possible," shares game director Dan Tanguay.
The "N. Sane Trilogy" collection includes the first three Crash games: "Crash Bandicoot," "Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back" and "Crash Bandicoot: Warped." They were all originally made by Naughty Dog. Activision's Vicarious Visions is making the PS4 game, though.
The trilogy will cost $39.99, reports Polygon. Now that the wraps are finally off on "Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy," keep posted for the next updates.
