'Gears of War 4' Bugs Users With Massive 248GB Update; Original Game Much Smaller
Dannel Picaccio Camille Perez Lozano"Gears of War 4" may have a few factors that need to be addressed, care of the observations and experience of some fans. This points particularly to the size of a particular update that is set to come forth.
According to reports of one particular NeoGaf user, there may be a bug around the latest update for "Gears of War 4." Prior to the download, the file started out with 101GB. That is until it started showing an astounding 248 GB update thereafter.
The trouble does not end there, as user Gowan claims that as soon as he tried to cancel the update, it went all the way to the beginning of the 101 GB mark. Generally, the conclusion is that it is simply a bug or error from the Microsoft store, given that "Gears of War 4" is about 50 GB.
While this may be something that's largely negative and unaddressed for now, The Coalition's senior technical animator Steven Dickinson announced that he will conduct a talk on Motion Warping -- a technique applied on the existing "Gears of War 4." As per Segment Next, the technique will be more productive with less animation, giving it a more than spectacular visual prowess. The talk will be held on March 1, 2017 at 11 AM via streaming.
"Gears of War 4" launched in October 11, 2016 for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. The plot takes place 25 years after the events of "Gears of War 3," where the lead Marcus Fenix had already faced ageing. An all new species of monsters known as "The Swarm" puts imminent threat to the existing generation of Gears. Marcus' son JD takes the lead, identical to his father's legacy. No news on yet has surfaced on the potential bug that supposedly comes with the newest update.
