"Dishonored 2" Black Sparrow DLC is on beta testing right now. This would be the game's first expansion when released. Here is what we know so far about the upcoming DLC.

Beta Testing

The Black Sparrow for Beta Testing CD Key listing has been rolling on the "Dishonored 2'" SteamDB page for several days already. At present, the official Facebook and Twitter pages of "Dishonored 2" have no updates about this particular test. Bethesda and Arkane Studios may be preparing the next "Dishonored 2" Black Sparrow DLC release.

"Black Sparrow"

"Dishonored 2" Director Harvey Smith, in an interview with Phosthoughts, revealed that the Black Sparrow was intended to be "Dishonored 2's" working subtitle. The team was interested in using the term but later omitted it because it was a mouthful. Developers may use the intended subtitle in the upcoming Dishonored 2 DLC.

The upcoming update is speculated to focus on Emily Kaldwin. It can be recalled that Emily Kaldwin wore a Black Sparrow costume in "Dishonored: The Corroded Man" novel. It is possible that the upcoming content will be about more of Emily's adventures in the "Dishonored" universe.

Previous "Dishonored" Releases

The first new content DLC was released in December 201,2 while the story DLCs were released six months later. The Knife of Dunwall DLC was released in April 2013, which was followed by The Brigmore Witches in August 2013.

The DLC highlighted the adventures of Jessamine Kaldwin's killer in "Dishonored." If Arkane Studios sticks with their previous DLC release dates, then we may still have a few months of waiting as Dishonored 2 was released in November 2016. However, the Black Sparrow Beta Test listing may just be the hint we are waiting for about the next "Dishonored 2 DLC."
