Convert Your iPhone Device Into Nintendo Switch With Gamevice
Cris Xander JulianoThe second gen version of Gamevice is a game controller for your iOS device that now supports iPhone 7 and 7 plus. As the name suggests, the controller clamps around the top and bottom of your phone that converts it similar to a Nintendo Switch according to Mac World.
There are several game controllers available for iOS devices, although most of them are designed with iPad in mind instead of iPhones. Some controllers do have clips that can hold an iPhone but it can be quite awkward depending on the size of the controller itself. The Gamevice is the better solution for bringing physical controls to your phone.
Once you plug this controller to your phone, it doesn't need any kind of pairing as your phone automatically recognizes the controller and will work with little or no changes in the settings. There are over 900 games in the Apps Store that are compatible with this controller. To see the whole list, just download the official Gamevice Live app which provides an updated list of games.
The controller has four face buttons, two analog sticks, four shoulder buttons and a directional D-pad, as well as the menu/start button. These are more than enough to play any game on your device. The improved analog sticks are ideal to play 3D games such as Minecraft: Pocket Edition or any Grand Theft Auto games.
The Gamevice is powered by your phone's battery, unfortunately, since it will drain away the battery life of your iPhone. However, there is a Lightning port at the bottom of the controller so you may charge your phone by plugging in a cable. The Gamevice also has its own 3.5mm headphone jack so you won't need to use any adapter to plug in while playing.
The controller only supports iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus and iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices. You will need to buy separate Gamevice controllers for iPad Pro and iPad Air models.
You can order the Gamevice controller on Amazon for $99.99.
