'Dota 2' 7.02 Patch Introduces Nerfs, Items & Buffs Heroes; Now Has a New Plethora of Tools to Balance the Game

The previous "Dota 2" 7.00 patch brought changes to the overall picture of the game, which introduced the shires, talents and map changes. Now the 7.02 patch has brought in some enormous changes to the game with nerfs, buff heroes and items, which tweaks the fine details of the game.

Reports say that IceFrog has made its decision to add a brand new plethora of tools in order to balance "Dota 2." The game's 112 heroes now have talents compared from the previous mainstream heroes that were overpowered and this will likely turn an awful pick into something great or it could be the other way around.

The "Dota 2" character Ember Spirit is deeply hit where his Spell Amplification has slipped down from 15 percent to 12 percent and his Active Fire Remnant has been immobilized during Root effects, which brings him down a level as well as with other midlane heroes. Moreover, a series of characters in Captain Mode such as Techies, Necrophos, Lycan and Treant Protector were removed and Lycan is the first hero who was able to return into the competitive gameplay.

Meanwhile, Alone Druid was nerfed and his bear was also buffed and "Dota 2" pros won't put items on the Bear but build items for the hero instead, which is of course not his specialty. The unheard build has made the character mainstream, which makes it the most disputed hero in the DAC qualifiers with a pick rate of 77 percent.

The hero was nerfed because of his specialty of powerful escape, long ranges as well as add-ons of pro build items. Additionally, reports say that Shrines are now defenseless once a T3 tower dies and this will reduce map advantage in just a matter of time, which is in contrast to its previous performance where "Dota 2" players needed to destroy a lane of towers before they could take down a shrine.

Furthermore, players can now purchase Sentry Wards in a pack of one for only 100 gold instead of two for 200. Good news, eh?
