Keisuke AkioThe preload for the upcoming game "Horizon: Zero Dawn" is now available. The technical analysis for the game has been also released.
"Horizon: Zero Dawn" is one of the most anticipated action RPGs from Guerrilla Games. The game's preload on PlayStation Network is now available to download for those who want to get a taste as soon as it launches. For those who have pre-ordered "Horizon: Zero Dawn" on the PlayStation Store, you can now download ahead of its launch. The preload download size is less than 40 GB. It automatically starts downloading if you have a pre-order on the PlayStation Store.
There are some reports that it is possible to start the download manually by going into library and then choosing "Horizon: Zero Dawn" from the purchased games. This method seems to currently work for those who pre-ordered the game from Asian region particularly in Hongkong, says Gearnuke. There is a good chance that the preload might not go live for users in North America and Europe until February 26. "Horizon: Zero Dawn" will be released on February 28 in North America and March 1 in Europe.
Meanwhile, the Digital Foundry released a technical analysis of "Horizon: Zero Dawn." It outlines the game's strengths and weaknesses from a graphical standpoint. As initial impressions, Digital Foundry concluded that "Guerrilla's level of technical accomplishment is sensational." The team also underlined several areas that needed improvement.
Among them, the AI can be a little unrealistic at times; lip-syncing can be a little off. In addition, it noted that there are some camera positioning issues, and several anisotropic filtering issues on the standard PlayStation 4. Furthermore, according to them, "Horizon: Zero Dawn" achievements far overshadow the areas in need of improvement, which can be fixed.
