The LG X Power2 Review: A Mid-Range Smartphone That Can Last Up To 2 Days With Its 4,500mAh Battery
Cris Xander JulianoThe LG G6 certainly stole the limelight from other devices that were unveiled during the Mobile World Congress trade show 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. The one thing that the G6 can't do however is last two days on a single charge. So here's another option from the company, the LG X Power 2, which is capable of that feat.
According to a report by Tech Radar, the LG X Power 2 is a mid-ranger with a 4,500mAh battery, which could last you a whole weekend on a single charge. Although the battery itself is just one of a few factors that allows the device to last that long, another one is the display.
The device sports a 5.5-inch screen but only displays a 720p resolution, which means it's not Full HD, unlike other smartphones that people have gotten used to. This certainly helps with the longevity of its battery, although it's not ideal for watching videos.
This smartphone has a MediaTek MT6750 under its hood with either 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM, depending on your location. Another downside is you only get 16GB of internal storage; however, a microSD support is available.
The camera boasts a 13MP rear sensor, which in bright situations can actually compete with the likes of Lenovo P2 or Moto G4. The front-facing camera has a 5MP sensor which is not that impressive although it did deliver satisfactory shots.
In terms of design, the device doesn't have that premium feel when it's held. It will come in four colors; black, gold, silver and dark blue.
It will run the Android Nougat 7 out of the box and is expected to go on sale in Latin America in March and the US will soon to follow. Pricing wasn't mentioned but it's likely to be around the price of its predecessor, which is around $199.
Stay tuned for more updates. What do you think of the LG X Power2? Write and share your thoughts in the comments section down below and don't forget to like, share and subscribe.
