MSI and ASUS Unveils Their Latest GTX 1080 Ti GPUs: Extreme Cooling Systems, Custom Fans and RGB Lighting Options Galore
Charles LimSeveral add-in-card (AIC) manufacturers have now started to unveil their latest setup for the recently unveiled NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video card. Among the biggest names in GPU customization namely MSI and ASUS, have now teased fans of their new products, which are aimed at giving serious gamers other options aside from the standard reference GTX 1080 Ti GPU from NVIDIA.
The most recent one that was unveiled is the new MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Edition. The card comes with all sorts of factory customizations including the company's latest Twin Frozr VI cooling system that sports a dual fan design.
According to WCCFTech, the new Twin Frozr fans deliver up to 22 percent more air pressure that the standard 1080 Ti cooler. For those who are into building show PC rigs, the new MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Edition also comes with custom RGB lighting that can be configured using the company's Afterburner utility software.
ASUS, on the other hand, has announced two new GPUs based on the 1080 Ti, namely the new ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo and the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Both cards of course come with upgraded cooling systems that should allow extreme gamers a lot of overclocking leeway.
The ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo is fitted with a modest blower-style fan setup and utilizes the card's stock PCB. Furthermore, the ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has an extremely cool looking triple fan setup.
The newly announced NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is perhaps one of the most hyped GPUs for 2017. The new card has been announced to be slightly faster than the $1,000 flagship Titan X GPU, while also being significantly cheaper. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is also 30 percent faster compared to the standard GTX 1080.
