VR fans are definitely excited following the announcement from Samsung about a new Gear VR along with the Galaxy Tab S3 at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The new Samsung Gear VR is expected to come with a new controller.

According to reports, the new Samsung Gear VR with controller will sport a 101-degree FOV or Field of View with its 42mm lenses. The highly anticipated device will also come with an advanced distortion correction for people who get motion sickness easily.

The Samsung Gear VR also lets users choose between USB Type-C and microUSB connector to make sure it matches with the port of the device. According to Droid Life, The new Gear VR will also carry a special strap that holds the new controller that comes with it when not in use.

Samsung Gear VR controller will have different buttons for touchpad, home, trigger, and volume. Users will have to get two AAA batteries for the controller, which allows them to use the device for up to 40 days, given that they will use it not more than two hours per day.

Since the release of the first Samsung Gear VR in December 2014, the device has become a premiere VR headset for Samsung users. Nonetheless, the virtual reality device has received several bad reviews from some fans who complained about it getting hot easily. There are also fans who complained about its lenses getting fogged up. Most importantly, Samsung will also have to increase its immersive titles as there are not that many choices in the market since it came out.

Meanwhile, according to TMO News, T-Mobile is currently offering the Samsung Gear VR for 50 percent discount. The device, which comes with a USB Type-C adapter, is now being sold by the mobile service provider for only $49.97.
