The Tournament Format: Knockout Stage to Grand Finals
The Global Finals will feature an intense competition that unfolds across multiple stages:
- Knockout Stage: The nine-day event will kick off from Nov. 8 to 17 where all teams have the chance to face each other across six match days. For this part, 12 teams will advance to the next level.
- Point Rush Stage: This particular event will only happen on Nov. 22 and 23. For this part, the rankings of the 12 teams will be determined. It's important to know that the points gathered here will be tallied in the final day.
- Grand Final: The heart and soul of the event, this is the "mother" of all events. This will be staged on Nov. 24 where two of the surviving teams will battle one another to have the chance to snag a huge portion of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
What Are the Teams Competing FFWS 2024?
Bleeding Cool reports that the best of the best will be competing in this global event. They are the cream of the crop selected from six major Free Fire leagues.
- FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall: 8 teams will represent this region, showcasing some of the most competitive squads.
- FFWS Latin America: 3 top-performing teams from this region will battle for glory.
- FFWS Brazil: Brazil will send 4 teams to compete on their home turf.
- FFWS Pakistan: The champion team from Pakistan will also have a chance to secure the world championship title.
In addition, two teams have already secured their spots in the Global Finals:
- Team Falcons: The champions of the Esports World Cup: Free Fire.
- WASK: The reigning champions of the FFWS Middle East and Africa.
