The Nintendo Wii U is scheduled to release on Nov. 18 with 23 launch titles. That's a lot of games to choose from, and it can be a daunting task picking from such a huge line up.
Here is our list of the 5 top Nintendo Wii U games to purchase come launch day:
There haven't been a great Zombie game in a long time, and yes, Resident Evil 6 did not fill that void. ZombiU from Ubisoft is a reboot of the company's first commercial game, Zombi; the game takes place in the UK where as gamers may expect, a Zombie outbreak begins to ravage the country. ZombiU is one of the most unusual First Person Shooters, taking full advantage of the Wii U's touch controller.
The Wii U wouldn't be a Nintendo console without games like Nintendo Land. The game is basically a theme park filled with 12 different fascinations, each representing a popular Nintendo franchise. Players can compete by themselves, or take it online to go head-to-head with other players from around the world. The Nintendo Wii U Gamepad controller is the main thing that brings uniqueness to this title, and it seems to work out wonderfully.
Surprise, surprise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is making its way to the Nintendo Wii U. Who would have thought? When one thinks Nintendo, Call of Duty does not fall into the same breath as Nintendo's consoles are usually associated with games for children and women. With the new Call of Duty coming over, the Nintendo Wii U could become more successful than the Wii.
Nintendo fans, prepare to battle the Templars in Assassin's Creed 3 for the Nintendo Wii U. The game is set during the time of the American Revolution, players take control of a Native American who goes by the name Ratohnhaké:ton; however, he later adopts the name Connor because Ratohnhaké:ton just doesn't flow that smoothly. Veteran Assassin's Creed players should expect to play as Desmond now and again, as he is linked to the story.
Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
The first Disney Epic Mickey was a fun game and, therefore, no surprises that a sequel is here to turn the fun quotient up on the Nintendo Wii U. This time around, players take control of Mickey Mouse and for the first time, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The pair team up to save the magical world of Wasteland by painting and controlling things.
