Samsung's Chinese consumers are in for a treat as the company has just announced a dual-SIM version of its best-selling phablet - the Galaxy Note 2.
Earlier this month, rumors suggested that Samsung was on course to release its dual-SIM special variant of the Galaxy Note 2 on Nov. 24 for China Telecom.
Now, Samsung China has listed the Galaxy Note 2 or "GT-N7102" with dual-SIM support on its Web site, and it is supposed to hit the shelves on Dec. 3 and not November as rumored.
The dual-SIM version of the Galaxy Note 2 will offer support for two SIM cards - the regular SIM and microSIM.
The other features and specifications of the device remain similar to the Europe variant, which means that the Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean etc.
The unlocked version of the phablet will retail for 5699 Yuan (around $915). No information on which Chinese carrier will offer the dual-SIM Galaxy Note 2 is currently available. Additionally, this version of the Galaxy Note 2 will only retail in China as of now.
Recently, it was also reported that a dual-SIM Galaxy S3 smartphone was also spotted in China. With both the best-selling Samsung smartphones expected to hit the Chinese market, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 fans would be hoping that the variants make their way to other parts of the world soon.
Would you want Samsung to release this Galaxy Note 2 variant in other parts of the world, and would you buy it?
