HTC One X, which is one of the most popular smartphones, has now started to receive the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update globally. The over the air (OTA) Jelly Bean software update will also bring HTC Sense 4+ user interface to the smartphone.
HTC One X users will get the 4.1 Jelly Bean update as a 364.54MB file, which will bring enhanced user experience with improved camera performance and battery life.
"We've been able to confirm the update has hit CID_038 and CID_044 devices in India, Argentina, UK, Russia, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil and Sri Lanka, but we're sure the update will be making its way to even more markets in the coming hours," reported HTC Source.
The HTC One X launched earlier this year and included impressive features, and now its successor the HTC One X+ is amongst the top-end smartphones in the market.
The HTC One X sports a 4.7-inch Super IPS capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass. A 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor powers the HTC One X. The HTC One X is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash. A 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera is also offered on the device.
In the U.S., the HTC One X is offered by AT&T and the carrier's version of the smartphone has 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone does not offer users with an expandable memory option. The device also has 1GB of RAM. An 1800mAh battery fuels the HTC One X.
The HTC One X comes packed with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). The handset measures 5.29 x 2.75 x 0.35 inch and weighs 4.59 ounces.
The hardware specifications of the HTC One X are still impressive when compared to other smartphones available in the market. Users will be happy enough to get the 4.1 Jelly Bean update on their phones.
