The former tycoon John McAfee, the man behind the McAfee anti-virus software, is currently in a hospital in Guatemala where he is fighting extradition to Beilze in connection with the murder of an American expatriate.
The millionaire suffered two heart-attacks after being denied political asylum and was moved from an immigration centre to a police-run hospital.
The 67-year-old has started an online campaign to help keep him in Guatemala and is currently blogging from the hospital jail.
"My lawyer just brought a judge to the jail and the judge issued a stay order until a higher judge can review the case. This effectively stops Immigration from returning me to the Belize border," said McAfee in his latest post.
Police in Belize have labelled McAfee 'a person of interest' in the killing of Gregory Faull, with whom he supposedly had a quarrel. McAfee, however, says he is being persecuted by Belize's ruling party because he refused to pay it around $2 million.
McAfee founded McAfee Associates, a computer anti-virus company, back in 1987, but he left the company in 1994.
In 2009, the New York Times reported that McAfee's personal fortune had fallen to $4 million from a peak of $100 million.
Since 2010, McAfee has been living in Belize where he runs QuorumEx, a new venture in the field of bacterial quorum sensing.
