HTC Droid DNA, touted as the "ultimate smartphone" by the company, hit the shelves in November and is exclusively offered on U.S. carrier Verizon. The carrier recently released a new commercial called "Extra Sensory," which declares that the HTC Droid DNA is "an upgrade to yourself."
The new Verizon advert shows off the 5-inch HTC Droid DNA smartphone with the "first true 1080p HD display" in all its glory. The "Extra Sensory" commercial hinges on the premise that the HTC Droid DNA is not "an upgrade to your phone" but "an upgrade to yourself."
The commercial's duration is 30 seconds and the carrier takes the time to emphasize on the Droid DNA's primary features and highlights them with marketing phrases like "vision expanding to 5-inch 1080p HD display and camera" and "touch acquiring NFC."
Verizon seems to be making all possible efforts to market the $199.99 (on-contract) Abdroid-powered Droid DNA. Tami Erwin, Verizon's chief marketing officer had noted at the launch that "HTC for us really represents innovation and sophistication."
The Droid DNA from HTC (also known as the J Buttefly in Japan) is currently among the best Android smartphones available in the consumer market, but whether the smartphone can help HTC reinstate its status as a formidable rival remains to be seen.
