As the press event scheduled by Canadian smartphone maker Research In Motion (RIM) nears, the rumors surrounding its BlackBerry 10 devices seem to be gaining traction. The company's BlackBerry Z10 is no stranger to leaks, and now another set of images of the smartphone have surfaced, suggesting that the device is headed for U.S. carriers AT&T and Verizon.
Earlier in December 2012, leaked images of the impending BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry X10 smartphones from RIM popped up online, giving fans a sneak peek into the devices.
Now, Business Insider has got hold of two images of the BlackBerry Z10, thanks to an anonymous source, and one of the phones can be seen sporting the Verizon logo. The image also shows the iPhone 4S flanked by two BB Z10 smartphones, to give consumers an idea of the device's size.
"We just got our hands on two images of RIM's upcoming BlackBerry phone, the BlackBerry Z10. The source who provided the images says he's been testing two variants of the phone recently -- one on Verizon and one on AT&T. In one of the photos, you can see Verizon's branding on the front cover of the phone," reported Business Insider.
According to the site, the source revealed that the build quality of the BlackBerry Z10 was "nice" and the "back cover feels rubbery and snaps on sort of like the back cover on Samsung's Galaxy S III." The Web browser on the BB10 OS seemed seamless and "just as fast as a desktop browser" and it also supports flash. The tipster was also impressed by the screen and averred that the phone takes one minute to boot and integrates with Evernote.
Additionally, BlackBerry 10 also packs in support for both work and personal use profiles, which basically means that a user can set the phone to work on the professional profile or switch to the personal profile when required.
What's more, apparently, RIM has revamped its AppWorld, which now resembles the Google Play Store.
With the RIM event scheduled for Jan. 30, the wait for the BlackBerry Z10 will soon be over.
