Rumor mills were churning for quite some time that Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will be donning new colors and it seems they weren't wrong. Samsung France has put up images of the Galaxy S3 Mini smartphone in four unannounced colors.
In November 2012, word on the street was that Samsung would launch the Galaxy S3 Mini in three new colors - Onyx Black, Titan Gray, and Garnet Red - in early 2013. Moreover, a few days ago, SamMobile reported that it had received images of the Galaxy S3 Mini in three new colors via an anonymous source.
The tipster it seems was right on the money, well, almost, as Samsung France has put up pictures of the Galaxy S3 Mini in not three but four new avatars. The four new colors are Amber Brown, Garnet Red, Onyx Black, and Titan Gray.
"As SamMobile reported 19 November 2012 that there would be more colors for the Galaxy S III Mini. Today Samsung France published the new Galaxy S III mini colours. 4 new colours with the following names: Titan Gray, Amber Brown, Garnet Red and Onyx Black," noted the SamMobile report.
The smartphone is currently available in Pebble Blue and Marble White. The introduction of the new colors takes the tally of Galaxy S3 Mini hues to six, putting it in the same league as bigger sibling Galaxy S3, which is available in a wide variety of colors, including some region-specific ones like the Martian Pink for Korea.
The Galaxy S3 Mini released in November 2012 in the UK and sports a 4-inch Super AMOLED display (800 x 480 pixels) resolution. The smartphone also packs in a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The Galaxy S3 Mini is not available on any carrier in the U.S.; however, the device can be procured from Amazon.
Unlike the best-selling Galaxy S3 from Samsung, the Galaxy S3 Mini has not caused a stir in the smartphone space. Perhaps, Samsung is looking to lure potential buyers by offering the device in attractive hues, a ploy that may or may not work.
