It seems like hardcore HTC fans would not have to wait until the Mobile World Congress (MWC) to get to see what HTC Sense 5 may look like. Fresh images have popped out in screen shots indicating that HTC Sense 5 may come with a less cluttered and more stylish user interface.
New images of HTC Sense 5 have been spreading the Web space, thanks to XDA's recognized developer 'mdeejay' who posted the screen shot images on the XDA Developers forum. From the multiple images of a working port of the upcoming skin, it is clear that the new UI is more along the lines of the native Android skin itself and that it is much simpler than its predecessor, Sense 4+.
It has a better streamlined skin than that of Sense 4+ and the images suggest that the Sense 5 UI is running on the Droid DNA and they originate from a Sprint version of the HTC M7. It is also believed that the device is running Sense 5 using the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS.
The collection of about half-a-dozen screen shots does not give many details into the device specifications; however, it is quite evident that the large ring to unlock the phone has disappeared along with the trademark analog clock and weather widget.
The Taiwanese manufacturer has incorporated some modern-looking cool elements into that space. The full screen weather animation and the giant unlock screen are replaced with "a simple lock icon in the middle for the four dock icons at the bottom of the screen and an example of the new clock and weather widget above them," Gotta Be Mobile reported.
However, it is not clear at this point in time how the lock screen works, but things would be clear as HTC M7 arrives, possibly at the WMC in Barcelona. The new skin includes an Android design tweak by which it allows for a total of five app icon rows.
The dock on the bottom of the home screen is now a bar that extends from edge to edge, no more the old tab that looked like coming from the bottom of the screen. Other screen shots throw some light on the settings and a phone call screen. The setting list in the new design features slightly redesigned toggle buttons and the phone call screen is a lot different from the previous version.
HTC has not really been able to prevent leaks and so, this isn't the last HTC leak likely to come out before the MWC in February. The loyal HTC fans can expect better glimpse of the device before its official launch.
