Samsung is currently in news for rumors and speculations surrounding both the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3. Now there's more from the Note 3 front.
Per reports, the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to arrive with the touchless gesture technology which also rumored to be coming in Galaxy S4.
The touchless gesture technology for the Galaxy S4 only came into contention recently when a Korean publication DDaily cited a source inside the industry stating that the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature floating gesture controls.
It was also believed that the phone maker has chances of utilizing the maXTouch S controllers developed by Atmel, and this will be the kind of technology that will let the user navigate the handset's interface without having to touch the screen.
Android Geeks made a few enquiries about the matter and later, "a source close to the matter confirmed to us that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will have Air View-like capabilities both when using the S-Pen and your finger."
As of now, the Galaxy Note 2 already sports a floating touch gesture feature. However, for the time being, its functionality has been narrowed down to the proximity sensor. "By simply hovering your hand over the proximity sensor while the display is turned off, it will automatically turn on the display and show various info like missed calls, texts, or any other events."
Although nothing can be said with certainty at the moment if the next Note (or the S4) will indeed feature touchless gesture or not, the Korean publication's report says that it actually looks like it will work similar to a mouse which will allow users to hover over all the elements on a page while accessing data.
Moreover, users "can also click on various elements or when you want to access another page. Anyway, this is how the technology will work if it's anything like the one implemented on the Sony Xperia Sola."
Additionally, it has been reported owing to Samsung's purchase of five percent shares in Wacom, which is popularly known for its research in digital input via stylus, Samsung could also introduce a new and improved S-Pen along with the Note 3.
