Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 was easily one of the most popular smartphones of last year. While most Samsung fans are looking forward to the arrival of either the new Galaxy S4 or the Note 3, a few would still like to own the previous flagship. Good news is available for all those people.
Per reports, Amazon is currently offering the Note 2 from Sprint for a reduced price tag of $70: a low enough price for anyone looking to get his hands on the device for the first time, or to give it as a gift.
Amazon first offered the device for $100. When that failed to strike a chord, it was reduced to $70, creating a sweet spot nearly impossible to resist.
As always, the device will come with a two-year contract from Sprint, valid on both the white and titanium variants of the Note 2, with 24-hour shipping.
“Samsung Galaxy Note II brings a whole new category of smartphones to Sprint. This high-performance device boasts many rich features and is indispensable when it comes to entertainment and productivity thanks to an enhanced S Pen hover experience, intuitive software, and elegant hardware features. Touch, hover, scribble, and speak — the Note II offers multiple tactile ways to interact,” the official Amazon page states. “From multitasking features to IT security to tools for efficiently sharing ideas, Note II is built for business.”
For those who would rather wait for the upcoming Samsung handsets, the good news per The Verge is that it has been “now confirmed with sources familiar with Samsung's plans that March 14 is definitely" the day the Korean giant plans to reveal one or more new devices, one of which is presumed to be the Galaxy S4.
Moreover, the design of the new model is said to be a "tightly-guarded secret," with the company once again trying to emphasize the device’s features rather than its raw specifications.
