ZTE Announces Sleek And Powerful Grand Memo Phablet At Mobile World Congress

The ZTE Grand Memo is a super-sleek phablet that has some very impressive specs sure to impress any smartphone lover.

The ZTE Memo features a 5.7-inch 257 ppi (pixels per inch) 1280 x 720 full HD TFT display, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 1.7GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon S 800 processor with quad-core Krait CPUs, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel AF rear camera with face recognition and panorama, 1MP front-facing camera rear camera, 1080p HD video playback, integrated Qualcomm WCN3680 dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE radio and a 3.200 mAh battery. The Grand Memo will feature a 8.55m body, making it one of the world's thinnest smartphones.

The 5.7-inch screen is superb for browsing the Web, watching movies and more. The 1.7GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon S 800 processor with quad-core Krait CPUs will keep provide a fast and smooth experience on all aspects of the ZTE Grand Memo. The ZTE Grand Memo also has MHL and DLNA connectivity for mobile entertainment. It also features Dolby Digital Plus Surround for a superior audio experience.

ZTE's He Shiyou, ZTE EVP and head of the Mobile Devices Division, spoke about the design of the ZTE Grand Memo:

"We have really tried to make this device fun for use at home, and practical for use in the office. By combining both of these factors, we have created a well-rounded large-screen handset that is suitable for any situation. It's perfect for videos, gaming and music, and also for sending e-mails, checking news and making calls on the go. For those with a busy lifestyle, the ZTE Grand Memo will be indispensable," said Shiyou.

ZTE has not announced pricing or availability for the ZTE Grand Memo. It has only said that it will launch the device in China and Europe later this year. The company is still considering if it will bring the device to the U.S.
