The mysterious Motorola X has been doing rounds on the Web for a while and it seems like the suspense around it is growing up to a considerable extent.
As far as the Motorola X is concerned, there is every chance for the device to show up (announced at least, if not released) at this year’s upcoming Google I/O, held is San Francisco, California. There have been such a lot of rumors surrounding the device all this time that many fans would be actually disappointed if there’s simply nothing revealed.
Motorola X could be the first smartphone of 2013 to launch with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. While Google has always managed to downplay its acquirement of Motorola in 2011, primarily to support Android licensees of fair trade, one could guess that there is some basis to all the rumors around the Web that have been doing rounds for the first smartphone that will run the first phone on Android 5.0.
Now, as nothing has been made official and nothing can be said with surety, fans can only ponder about what will happen at the expo. However, there are a few chances that the device will get an official announcement at the I/O.
It could be assumed that since Google-LG Nexus 4 smartphone was released only in November last year, and the release was followed by a pretty long amount of time that made all the early buyers wait with patience for months, this year that mistake will be avoided and the X phone could the perfect solution.
Moreover, only previously, an Android executive at Google highlighted Google’s relationship with Motorola. "It's almost as if they are a separate company," said Hiroshi Lockheimer, vice president of engineering for Android at Google, and adding more to it by stating that there is a wall between the Nexus business and Motorola.
Now this kind of statements can only be removed by introducing a new technology at the I/O, and the Motorola X fits to it perfectly. If not a launch, the company should at least reveal some kind of information that would meet everybody’s requirements.
The Motorola X is currently rumored to arrive with a Kevlar body, making it more durable for use. A 5-inch edge-to-edge, no bezel, display is also expected, alongside an eight-core processor powering the device.
