The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD on Verizon currently sports an attractive price tag with a new discount on the usual two-year commitment, courtesy of Amazon.
Roughly two months ago, Amazon slashed the price tag for the Verizon Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD to $99.99 for new customers (it was $50 more for existing customers). The online retailer now has a new deal in place for the handset, and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD smartphone is available for just $79.99 with a new two-year contract with Verizon. Just like the previous offer, however, this applies only to new customers. Existing Verizon customers still need to spend $50 extra, but even at $129.99, the handset is still a good bargain.
Heavy users who don't mind getting a smartphone that was released months ago may find the Motorola Droid Razr HD a good choice. The handset packs a powerful 3300mAh battery that lasts for roughly 22 hours of talk time or about a day and a half of mixed activity.
The Motorola Droid Maxx HD saw several discounts since its launch. Back in December, Verizon itself lowered the price of the 4G smartphone to $249.99, while Amazon cut the price to $149 for buyers with a new contract. Amazon later lowered the cost even further to the aforementioned $99.99 price tag, only to slash prices again to the current $79.99 offer. Considering the specs and the battery performance of the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, the additional discounts should draw in more customers.
The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD made its debut running on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) mobile operating system, but now users can update the firmware to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It's not the latest version of Android, but at least the Droid Razr Maxx HD is not stuck on ICS, like many other handsets.
Head over to Amazon's product page to check out the latest price cut and learn additional details regarding the handset's specs and features. Amazon currently lists the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD as "in stock" and shipping in 24 hours.
