Many people were expecting the rumored Motorola X phone's arrival during the upcoming Google I/O event to be held in San Francisco, but a recent report suggests that the waiting period may get longer.
According to a report from Phone Arena, the release of the Google/Motorola X phone is pushed to August or later. The reason behind the delay is not known, but the report allegedly has these details directly coming from sources.
The sources also indicate that the X phone will have a 4.7-inch display with 1080 pixel resolution and the phone is in a prototype stage right now. The report also suggests that the phone will have the looks more or less similar to the phone shown in recently leaked images.
People also believe that the leaked picture was of X phone's prototype that runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has no microSD slot.
The Android version running on the prototype is also not completely stock firmware and it is said to have some changes.
Recently there have been so many rumors related to the X phone and in every new rumor something has come up related to the phone that contradicts the earlier features of the phone.
Tech website Ausdroid in its earlier report claimed that the phone will have a 10-megapixels rear-facing camera instead of a 16-megapixel one, as rumored earlier.
"Rumours of a 16mp rear camera are just not true, and aren't realistic. Better optics, not higher megapixels, are what's needed in the mobile space, and you'd have to expect that Motorola, of all companies, would know this," the report states.
The Motorola X phone is also rumored to be coming with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. But according to the Phone Arena report, the prototype of the phone is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is also expected to be launched during this year's Google I/O.
