The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 starred in various different rumored scenarios recently, and a new report now claims the device will boast a completely new design.
Samsung recently announced its latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S4, again drawing criticism for its choice to use plastic for the body of the handset. Simply put, many are puzzled as to why Samsung continues to stick to plastic for its high-end devices while rival manufacturers are using classier materials such as aluminum and glass for their competing products.
A new report now claims that Samsung is finally ready to respond to all that criticism with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3. According to SamMobile, Samsung is concerned about the build quality of its Galaxy handsets, especially when compared to rival devices such as the HTC One. While Samsung uses plastic for all its devices, from the most basic one to the highest-end powerhouse, the new HTC One boasts an elegant aluminum casing.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will reportedly be one of several new Samsung devices that will sport a completely new design, complete with improved build quality and higher-end materials. Does this mean the Galaxy Note 3 will come with an aluminum casing?
So far, rumored specs for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 include a 5.9-inch/ 6.0-inch Full HD flexible AMOLED display that will reportedly be unbreakable, as well as Samsung's eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor with LTE. Other purported specs include 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on board. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to pack a bigger battery compared to the current Galaxy Note 2.
SamMobile's sources claim that an internally produced metal prototype of the Samsung Galaxy S4 was very well-received, but manufacturing issues and deadlines made it impossible to mass-produce a metal smartphone on time. With the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, however, the South Korean tech giant may have plenty of time to resolve the previous issues and produce the device using something other than plastic. The source further tips that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will not use the design guidelines of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
