When BlackBerry launched its BlackBerry Z10 all-touch smartphone back in January, the company also promised to bring out a QWERTY keypad-packed smartphone running BlackBerry 10 after some months. The promised BlackBerry Q10 is finally going to arrive on the AT&T network on June 21.
The BlackBerry Q10 smartphone will be available in AT&T stores and online for $199.99 with a new two year contract.
"AT&T is pleased to add the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone to our growing BlackBerry portfolio," said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president - Devices, AT&T in a statement. "The combination of AT&T's blazing fast 4G LTE network and the BlackBerry Q10 smartphone's improved physical keyboard and touchscreen will help you stay productive and efficient on-the-go."
The BlackBerry Q10 has already arrived on T-Mobile, which is selling the smartphone without any contract. The BlackBerry Q10 from T-Mobile can be bought by paying a down payment of $99.99 with 24 installments of $20.
The smartphone is a midrange product from the BlackBerry and it has been brought out especially for those who are in love with the company's physical QWERTY keyboard. Although the BlackBerry Q10 doesn't come with a bigger screen like the BlackBerry Z10, but the physical keyboard and bigger keys make the typing easy and accurate for its users.
The 3.1 inch 720 pixel Super AMOLED display looks smaller when compared to the display of BlackBerry Z10, but users of the Q10 would not mind the smaller display as long as they get an amazing BlackBerry Keyboard.
The BlackBerry Q10 is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and supported by a whopping 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone sports an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera along with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat.
Other specifications of the new BlackBerry Q10 include 16GB of internal storage capacity and a micro SD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB. In terms of connectivity, the BlackBerry Q10 supports NFC, LTE and HSPA+.
